What was your first story?
Chilly Little Charlie was the first story I wrote. It also is still one of my top ten stories to tell. - Click on the link to learn more. As I continue to update my website, I will add more about the story behind each story.
Where do your stories come from?
All of my stories are inspired by young children, the toys they play with, the people they know, the places they visit and most importantly the imaginations they have. My favorite stories to write are based around a few facts I know about a child. Once I have the overall framework, I start making things up. Sometimes the story leads me to the rhyme and sometimes the rhyme leads me to the story. I love the creative process.
Where do you perform?
During the school year, I perform primarily at schools, libraries and private homes near our apartment at Concord Academy in Concord, MA.
During the summer, I perform primarily at summer camps in Massachusetts and at the Cape Cod Children's Museum in Mashpee, MA.
I also perform at storytelling festivals and other events.
What are your future plans?
I will look for new ways to share my stories including:
Children's Books, Children's TV, CD/DVDs and Live Theatre
For now I enjoy my life performing locally, teaching high school math and spending time with my family and friends.
