Benjamin’s Ball by Tim Seston Benjamin’s playing in the yard with his brother Kicking a ball at a tree At first it comes back in the way they expected The next more erroneously So Ben looks at Luke and they laugh and they giggle Surprised by the way the ball goes And with this experience Benjamin learns To watch out and stay on his toes Benjamin’s ball roles away down the driveway And lands near the side of his house It stops near a hole that was not there last week Made maybe by mole or a mouse So Ben looks at Luke and they laugh and they giggle Surprised by the new hole they find And with this experience Benjamin learns To watch out and keep a sharp mind. All of a sudden a chipmunk appears But finds two boys here at his hole He darts to the left and he runs away quickly For this is the small chipmunk’s role And Ben looks at Luke and they laugh and they giggle Surprised as the chipmunk ran past And with this experience Benjamin learns To watch out for things happen fast Benjamin picks up his ball and he throws it To Luke and they play more outside They laugh and they giggle and Benjamin knows That life is one marvelous ride |
Keep an eye out for the random things that occur during the day. By following some tangent for a while I experience something fun, interesting and sometimes even relevant to what I am doing. I don't usually worry about getting back on track at every moment because overall life's responsibilities tend to lead me where I had planned to go. |
