A Simple Life Here To Play |
I wrote this song while spending time at the cabin my grandparents owned in Maine. One of my favorite activities is sitting on the dock and listening to the loons sounding their low whistling calls to each other. I am most at peace when the hustle and bustle of everyday life is kept at an arms length. This can happen when I am hiking in the mountains, swimming in the ocean or just by going for a run in the woods near my home. |
Simple Life by Tim Seston I think that I was born to sing this song for you today I think that I was born to sing and laugh and dance and play Yes, I think I was born to soak up lots of golden sun I think I was born to have a little bit more fun So take me to the mountains and find a winding stream Build myself a campfire and do a little dreaming I'll stare into the embers while I whittle with my knife Take me to a place where I can lead a simple life I think that I was born to sing this song for you today I think that I was born to sing and laugh and dance and play Yes, I think I was born to soak up lots of golden sun I think I was born to have a little bit more fun Take me to the ocean with its tides and sandy dunes Or take me to a lake where I can listen to the loons I don’t want to be encumbered by unhappiness and strife Take me to a place where I can lead a simple life I want to live more peacefully Take a breath and sit beneath a tree Let the wind wind all around my soul A simple life - that is my goal If I must be in the city then please take me to a park That’s where I can climb and slide and swing until its dark I want to be accompanied by my children and my wife Take me to a place where I can lead a simple life I think that I was born to sing this song for you again I think that I was born to sing it eight, nine times or ten Yes, I think I was born to soak up lots of golden sun I think I was born to have a little bit more fun |
