Start Your Day Here To Play |
Luke and Owen were born prematurely at 30 weeks. My wife and I spent many hours in the NICU first at Beth Israel Hospital and then at Emerson Hospital before Luke and Owen came home. Charlie got to visit them right after they were born and then a few weeks later when they were no longer hooked up to machines. I wrote this song one afternoon while holding the two boys on my chest. Singing was very soothing for the boys and quite cathartic for me as well. When Charlie was in 5th grade he became interested in filming himself doing different tricks outside. We downloaded video software and began teaching ourselves different editing techniques. One beautiful fall day Charlie, Luke and Owen's school had a teacher in-service day. We used the day to film a variety of activities and later put them together in a music video with the soundtrack of "Start Your Day" It was my first YouTube Video.
