Living Room Song Here To Play |
I wrote this song with my oldest son, Charlie, when he was six years old. We were dancing around the living room with his little brothers, Luke and Owen, and the ideas just kept coming. It was a wonderfully spontaneous Saturday morning. Between each verse we added Boom Chucka Lucka Lucka Boom Chucka Lucka Lucka Boom Chucka Lucka Lucka Boom Boom Boom This transitional chorus gave us time to act out some vogue freeze dance moves and get ready for the next set of directions. If you have a Facebook account you can click the link above and take a trip back through time to 2011. The setting is our living room. Owen is a toddler, hanging out on the chair with our cat, Basil, while I sing and act out the song. |
Living Room Song by Tim Seston Let's all go marching around a chair Throw up our arms into the air And wave our hands from here to there As we go marching around the chair Let’s all go hopping around the table Try on one foot if you are able And when we FREEZE, try to be stable And let’s go hopping around the table Let’s all go stomping around the floor Pretend that you’re a dinosaur Now take a breath and let’s all roar And let’s go stomping around the floor Now in the middle, let’s spin around We’ll reach up high, then touch the ground And with our voices make silly sounds And we’ll go spinning round and round Let’s all go strutting around the rug Like choo-choo trains, chug-choo-choo-chug And then we’ll stop and give a shrug And then go strutting around the rug This is the end so let’s be quiet Tip-toe around why don’t you try it This is no time to cause a riot Tip-toe around and then be quiet. |
